Lemon Wedge – or some sort of squash?

I noticed this half full (not half empty…right?) glass of water with a lemon wedge floating in it. I thought it would make a cool photo.

Check out my shirts…vote for them!

Here are 4 recently designed t-shirts I did for the latest DESIGN BY HÜMANS contest. You’ll have to sign up to cast a vote, but there’s no obligation and it’s a great site anyway.

Match the Typeface

Another product created via Ponoko. This one incorporates two different materials (America Cherry veneer MDF and Italian Poplar Ply). I wanted to create one of those wooden toys for kids where they match up the shape on the board. Perhaps this is just a way to guarantee your kid turns into a type nerd. Oh well,  type nerds are nice!

California County Puzzle

This is another product I designed for a Ponoko contest. This idea is simple – assemble the state of California county-by-county. Although I grew up in California, there were a lot of counties I didn’t know existed. It’s tough, but I like how it turned out! Check it out…

Ponoko Coasters!

Ponoko is a great on-demand manufacturing company. You create products that will be cut out by laser. The whole process is easy. Create your design in Adobe Illustrator or other vector based software, upload and make! They offer various materials such as wood and acrylics and have a pretty fast turnaraound. I designed a set of coasters inspired by fruit and have them up for sale on Ponoko. They’re made of an American Cherry veener MDF, but can be purchased in a translucent white acrylic or opaque black acrylic.

Orin B. Hatch

Well, this is Utah after all

Well, this is Utah after all

I pass this mailbox every day when I go to work. I love how aged and weathered it looks. I also did a double take when I saw that the name on top reads Orin B. Hatch…not to be confused with the US Senator Orrin G. Hatch. I thought it was kind of funny and made for an interesting photo nonetheless.
